Archival Storage
Organize and store your loose paper collections, books, pamphlets, periodicals, photographic materials, etc., in the most frequently used upright box in the preservation field. Archival boxes are designed for long-term storage on standard library shelves. Choose from the compact 2 1/2 inch width and standard 5 inch width. Places loose and/or fragile documents in archival preservation quality file folders for added protection. Archival Document support spacers keep folders from slipping and warping in partially filled cases.
Manufactured from acid/lignin-free 60 pt. board with a pH of 8.5 and buffered with 3% calcium carbonate, boxes protect against acid migration and pollutants. Metal edges provide added strength and durability.
Choose from our acid/lignin-free, buffered (pH 8.5) Tan, Dark Grey, Light Grey and Black board or our economical Archives Light Grey* board. All boards have passed the Photo Activity Test for longevity and safety for storage.
*All of our box boards meet ANSI, National Archives and Library of Congress specifications. The light-grey Archives board, however, differs from our other materials in that the inner core is made of recycled materials rather than the virgin, fully bleached inner core found in our other boards.
Standard 5 inch width boxes have pull-string for easy shelf removal. Metal handles or pull hole are available on request.
Due to fuel surcharges, additional shipping charges may apply.
