Archival Gold CD-R

The Archival recordable Gold CD-R is made with a patented Phthalocyanine dye that reacts faster to the disc drive's writing laser, making the pit edges used to store data shaper and easier to read. This dye offers the maximum resistance to the effects of light, humidity and heat. The CD's reflective layer is made with 24K gold instead of silver, which stops degradation from oxidation (CD rot). Great for long term storage of digital files, including pictures, music and other data. Tested through acelerated aging processes and shown to safely store data for more than 300 years.

Great for long term storage of digital files. The DVD's reflective layer is made with 24K gold instead of silver and has a maximum resistance to the harmful effects of oxidation, a main cause of failure to optical media. Results of an accelerated aging process to test the longevity of DVD-R media show Archival Gold DVD-R's may safely store images for more than 100 years. Gold DVD-R has a speed of 4X and can store up to 4.7GB.
